St. Joseph Catholic STEM School serves grades PreK – 8 and is a place where your entire family can experience a higher power of learning through Faith-based teaching, 21st-century instruction, community involvement, and many extra-curricular, co-curricular, and artistic activities. *St. Joseph C-Stem School provides an innovative hands-on instructional model known as C-STEM. A Catholic faith-based/spiritual element is incorporated into the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics model, where we strive to tap into each student’s natural curiosities. With the C-STEM integrated curriculum and state-of-the-art technology, we aim to produce strong academic outcomes while at the same time, developing strong character and a lived faith in our students. Daily lessons are woven together with virtues, prayer, and service to others to provide our students with a complete Catholic education. Central to our STEM program is our science and engineering curriculum. Students in kindergarten through middle school develop basic science knowledge and apply new understanding through hands-on science lessons, and analyze their thinking through engineering challenges. Developed by the National Science Resources Center, a division of the Smithsonian Institution, our science and engineering curriculum is based on research into how students learn best and was specifically designed for a STEM environment. Toddler & Preschool: St. Joseph Catholic School in partnership with Lake Area Discovery Center (LADC), offers a NAEYC-accredited, Parent Aware preschool program for children ages 2-5 years. Our preschool program offers both full and part-time programming in a warm and supportive faith-based environment. Our preschool is designed to meet children’s individual needs and learning styles. We believe parents are their children’s most important teachers and we value them as partners in the education of their child. Faith is also an important component of our curriculum. Lessons incorporate our Catholic faith and children participate in singing and worship. Working in partnership with parents and Lake Area Discovery Center, St. Joseph strives to build, an educational experience rooted in spiritual values and driven by academic excellence. 101 – Advancement & Marketing
Join the Advancement/Marketing committee to be part of the planning, management, and implementation of marketing, recruitment, and retention of students. This may include involvement in planning/executing open house events and school visits/tours. This committee works closely with the principal and office staff. 104 – Fundraising Gala: Boogie Blast
Join our fundraising committee to help plan our yearly school gala for our parents and community. Our gala is normally held each spring. Involvement in this planning committee may include digital marketing, finding business and sponsor partners, mailing, creating marketing materials, and setup/planning of the gala event. 105 – Parent Association
Join St. Joseph School parents as we discuss how to help our teachers, students, and staff continues to thrive. Examples may include helping with teacher appreciation breakfast, music program hospitality, and volunteering for special events. 106 – Spiritual Integration
The Spiritual Committee helps to encourage our school families to deepen their faith through family activities and attending Mass. The committee may use events and programs to encourage our families to strengthen their faith together as a family. The St. Joseph School Technology Committee helps troubleshoot and resolve any school-wide technology needs and opportunities. 108 – Athletics & Activities Association
Join our school athletics and activities programs as an activities coach (robotics, basketball, soccer, etc.), or as a board member of the Athletic Association which meets monthly. They also help plan events such as the Nickle Dickle Day 3 on 3 Basketball Tourney and Slam Dunk Contest as well as the annual boys and girls Classic Basketball Tournaments.
