Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) and Children (OCIC) Teaching Team

“Journey with OCIA candidates through their preparation to join the Catholic faith. Lead 1-2 sessions per year and attend weekly sessions from September-May. Participation in Holy Triduum and special gatherings is also required. Participants must complete the safety requirements prescribed by the Archdiocese (Virtus).

Time commitment: Meets weekly for 2 hours, including Holy Week Masses and special events.”

First Eucharist (Grade 2)

St. Joseph Catholic Community invites families with children in second grade and older to prepare for the reception of First Eucharist by attending weekly Mass and participating in Faith Formation classes. Preparation includes a parent meeting, workshops, and classroom sessions. Families are asked to attend a spring workshop and participate in activities before the reception of First Eucharist.

School Board

The School Board supports the pastor and principal by conducting research, engaging in discussions, and making recommendations to strengthen the mission of St. Joseph Catholic School. Members assist in strategic planning and provide opportunities to explore school improvements.

Small Group Leader for Family Formation (Pre K – 5th Grade)

“Work with a partner to guide small group discussions, implement activities, and provide a safe, fun, and enriching environment. Leaders meet approximately twice per month (September-May). Training and ongoing support are provided. Participants must complete the safety requirements prescribed by the Archdiocese (Virtus).

Time commitment: 1-2 hours per month.”
