On July 5–6, we welcomed Sr. Maria Proscovia “Prossy” Nakuya of the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Reparatrix (IHMR), a religious community founded in Uganda in 1927. The IHMR Sisters live lives of prayer and service, focused on reparation and restoring dignity—especially for women and children.
Sr. Prossy joined us for a Mission Appeal to support the care of their 320 sisters, especially those in their Elderly Care Facility in Uganda. She shared the urgent need for medical and mobility equipment such as lift devices, electric beds and wheelchairs, laundry equipment, recliners, walkers, reusable bed pads, commodes, warm blankets, pill organizers, knee braces, and disposable pads and gloves.
Checks are to be written to St. Joseph Church with missionary appeal in the memo line. For more Information about this Mission appeal, please feel free to contact Sr. Prossy Nakuya at deoteresa81@gmail.com. Her telephone number is +1(464) 244-6281/+256708694241(WhatsApp)
Your generosity will make a real difference. Donations may be made through the parish. Please continue to keep the IHMR Sisters in your prayers—they are praying for you, too!
