Middle School: EDGE (Grades 6-8)

EDGE provides middle school students with engaging education through service experiences, praise, worship, and interactive activities. Students gather for group activities and break into smaller grade-specific groups. Each session includes prayer, scripture reading, discussion, and closing prayers.

Becoming Catholic (OCIA/OCIC)

The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults and Children is a process through which participants grow in faith and discern joining the Catholic Church. It is for unbaptized adults and children over seven, adults baptized in another tradition, or Catholics seeking to complete their initiation. Sessions run weekly from September to May and can be joined at any time.

Altar Server (Adults & Youth)

Assist the priest during Mass by carrying the cross, holding the Roman Missal, and preparing for the Liturgy of the Eucharist. Youth must be in 4th grade or older and have received First Communion. Adults are needed for morning Masses and funerals.

Gather & Grow: Waconia Food Shelf

Volunteers assist with the day-to-day operation of the food shelf, serving Western Carver County families in need. The food shelf is operated by a volunteer advisory group with representatives from St. Joseph and other Waconia area churches.
