Volunteers assist with the day-to-day operation of the food shelf, serving Western Carver County families in need. The food shelf is operated by a volunteer advisory group with representatives from St. Joseph and other Waconia area churches.
“Care for altar cloths, changing them according to the liturgical calendar, and washing/ironing them as needed.
Time commitment: 2-3 hours every other week.”
Children’s Liturgy of the Word is held during Mass on most Sundays during the school year for children aged 3 years to 4th grade. Children hear scripture readings and reflections in the Narthex and return to their families after the homily. Parents are welcome to accompany their children.
