Frequently Asked Questions

How to Request a Sub?
  1. If you have a prayer partner, talk to your prayer partner. If they are going to be there, no sub is needed!
  2. Use AdorationPro
    • Recommendation to send the sub-request a few weeks before the need.
    • When the sub-request is accepted, you will get an email informing you.
    • If you have not received an email a few days before please try these other options.
  3. Other options
    • Ask the person before and/or after you.
    • Switch with someone with your hour from another time.
    • Please use Adoration Pro to contact the Adoration Coordinator or email adoration@stjosephwaconia.org.

If you will be arriving late
  • Please call your adoration partner(s) to verify that they will be there on time.
  • If there is no one else signed up with you for your hour, please call the adorer(s) for the hour before you to let them know you WILL be coming but will be delayed. Be sure one of them will stay until you arrive.

Ensuring the Blessed Sacrament is never left alone
  • Please do not assume because others have come into the chapel that they will be staying for the entire hour – they may be visitors.
  • Make sure the committed adorer or substitute for the next hour has signed in before you leave.
  • Please do not try reposing or covering the Blessed Sacrament on your own – there is a special process for this that requires training.
Adorers whose hours begin and end the day are trained for Exposition and Reposition.

If the next adorer doesn’t show up

If you are unable to remain in the chapel for the following hour:

  • First, try calling the adorer(s) scheduled after you to see if they are on their way.
  • If no one answers or they are not coming, please call the Parish Office at 952-442-2384 during business hours. They will advise on how to proceed.
  • If it is after business hours, please use Adoration Pro to contact the Adoration Coordinator.

Please wait until the substitute arrives before you leave as the Blessed Sacrament cannot be left unattended.
